I created this blog about 8 months ago. I had a fantastic idea to create a blog about who I am as a person, as a wife and as a Mormon. I wanted to create something that helped me to remember the steps of transition I took from not being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to being married in the temple in less than a year and a half. I then wanted to transform the blog into something that chronicled the life of my husband and I as we began our journey of forever together. And now here we are eight months later. At least I was well intended right? And according to Mormon Standard Time, I am doing just fine.
April 24, 2010. Bill, Candy, and Katie come to Moscow to baptize me. Something they had been waiting ten years for me to do.
General Conference Weekend October 2010: Kasen and I put a puzzle together during conference. We start dating.
January 14, 2011: Kasen proposes by singing "You Are My Sunshine." My engagement ring was tied with ribbon that said "Families are Forever" to flowers.
May 20, 2011: I head home for the summer for the first time since coming to college. It proves to be the best decision I could have made. I no longer loathe my hometown as much as I once did. Also the time we spent apart during our engagement allows Kasen and I to take so much more advantage of the time we do spend together.
June 14, 2011: I received my temple Endowment. Ever since I learned about the LDS church I have been fascinated with the Pioneers. Specifically, I have been awed by the Salt Lake City, Utah Temple. It took 40 years to build. The dedication that the early saints had to their religion to follow it across continents and through many hardships astounds me. I will be forever grateful to those that attended.
July 30, 2011: Kasen and I are married for time and all eternity at the Manti, Utah LDS Temple. We are the fourth generation of Kasen's family to be sealed here.
